Jeff McNamara
President
Jeff McNamara is the President of The WellBoss Company. Jeff is responsible for the vision, strategy, and overall direction of the company. Before coming to WellBoss, Jeff held a series of executive, operational, and sales roles, which included Vice President, North America for a Silicon Valley software startup company, North American Region Manager for Halliburton, and several technical sales roles spanning 12 countries. He holds a BSc. in Geology from the University of Alberta and an MBA.
Kent Meyer
Executive Vice President – Eastern Hemisphere
Kent Meyer is the Executive Vice President of the Eastern Hemisphere at The WellBoss Company. Kent is a seasoned energy industry leader with over two decades of global experience working for a major service company where he held leadership roles across North America, the Middle East, and North Africa, consistently delivering operational excellence and customer-focused solutions. His career spans technical field service, project management, and global leadership roles, with a strong emphasis on commercialization, team development, and strategic execution. With a background in Computer System Technology and advanced training in finance, sales, and leadership, Kent brings a balanced, results-driven approach to solving complex challenges, and holds numerous patents related to wellbore and intervention technologies.
Matt Pigott
Executive Vice President – Production & Operations
Matt Pigott is the Vice President of Production at The WellBoss Company. Prior to joining WellBoss, he worked as an Operations Manager/Supervisor in various industries including automotive and manufacturing. Since joining The WellBoss Company in 2014, he has led the production team to increase output by 500%. Matt has played a pivotal role in transitioning the company from a start-up to a commercial operation. As an expert in Lean and Six Sigma, he has implemented both principles to ensure top-tier quality and efficient production of all WellBoss product lines, all while optimizing the supply chain through North America and MENA.
Bret Wonson
Vice President of Finance
Bret has held leadership positions in accounting and reporting for Sierra Resources, Earthstone Energy and GeoResources. Before taking on accounting roles in the upstream sector, he advanced through public accounting ranks as an auditor for Grant Thornton. With over 20 years of experience in accounting and reporting, Bret focused on supporting middle-market public and private companies in the energy industry. He is a certified public accountant in the State of Texas and earned both a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Mississippi State University.
Derek Payne, PE
Director of Engineering
Derek Payne, P.E., is a seasoned professional engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. He currently serves as the Director of Engineering at The WellBoss Company, where he leads the engineering team to develop innovative completion solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reliability for clients worldwide. Before joining The WellBoss Company, Derek held engineering leadership positions at Weatherford, Archer – The Well Company, and TAM International. Derek has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
